Regular Program

    1. Qualified Applicants

  • Language trainees who wish to learn Korean systematically
  • Foreigners who wish to enter universities or graduate schools in Korea
  • Foreigners or overseas Koreans who wish to improve communication skill in Korean for business or career purpose

      2. Overview

  •   1 Term: 10 weeks ( 4 terms per year)
  •    Total class hours: 200
  •    5 days per week ( Monday through Friday)
  •    4 class hours a day  ( Morning Class: 9AM-12:50PM /Afternoon Class: 1:10PM-5PM)
  •    Number of students per class: about 15 
  •    Other activities available: Suwon University Buddy Assistant (SUBA)/ Suwon University Language Assistant (SULA)

3. Level Description

Beginner Level 1 & 2     

Basic and essential expressions used in daily life including greetings, introductions, ordering food at restaurants, shopping, public transportation , post office , hospital and pay phones

Intermediate Level 3 & 4

Able to exchange opinions at east about daily life with koreans. Understand Korean newspaper and television to some extent. Able to live in Korea without difficulty.

Advanced Level 5 & 6

Able to read and write business or other special documents. Abe to perform general work at Korean companies. Obtain communication level require to understand liberal arts classes or more at universities. 

4. Evaluation 

  1. Evaluation: Test score 80% (mid-term 40% + final  40%) +performance score 20 % ( class participation and homework)
  2. Evaluation scope: speaking, listening,  reading , writing, grammar, and vocabulary
